Webinar: enhancing prosecutors' capacity

WEBINAR OBJECTIVES

The objective of this activity is to strengthen awareness and prosecutorial capacity of East Africa’s prosecutors in dealing with wildlife crime and related offences and improve regional and bilateral collaboration on enforcement and prosecutions of wildlife crimes.

Participants of this webinar training will be prosecutors from all current member countries of the EAAP, namely prosecutors from: Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, South Sudan, and Tanzania.

This training will be conducted over two and a half hours per day starting on 17th November to 19th November 2020 for three days from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM.

The theme of this webinar training is Enhancing Capacity of Prosecutors in Combatting Wildlife Crime, with topics including: introduction to wildlife crime, wildlife policy and legislation, investigation and prosecution of wildlife crimes, interagency collaboration, and interventions to strengthen wildlife crime prosecutions.

Upon successful completion of the training, the participants will earn a certificate of completion from East Africa Prosecutors Association (EAAP) and TRAFFIC.
