The Basic Level Workshop on Best Practices in International Judicial Cooperation, marked the first phase of the EAAP-EU ACT regional training series. The workshop introduced prosecutors to the foundational principles of Mutual Legal Assistance (MLA), Joint Investigation Teams (JITs), and the role of Central Authorities in cross-border investigations.
Through expert-led presentations, practical case discussions and collaborative sessions, participants strengthened their understanding of international judicial cooperation tools necessary for combating transnational organised crime within the Eastern African region.
