The Basic Level regional workshop held in Maputo, Mozambique replicated the introductory phase of the EAAP - EU ACT programme aimed at strengthening prosecutorial cooperation across Eastern Africa.
The training provided both theoretical and practical guidance on Mutual Legal Assistance (MLA), Joint Investigation Teams (JITs), and coordination through Central Authorities, enabling prosecutors to better navigate complex cross-border investigations.
The workshop reinforced regional collaboration and laid a foundation for subsequent intermediate and advanced training levels.
